It's been a little while since I've updated this blog but I promise great content is coming...
The only difference is were going to be hosted on our own server for a little more freedom in design and function. I'll post here once I have the new blog launched! Clean Yourself Up

Today I was out at the mall to meet up with a friend who wanted help developing his personal style. I get there about fifteen minutes early and decide to chat up a few girls while waiting for my friend to arrive..

I stop a nice three set and we get to talking about fashion advice for guys (go figure!) and they brought up a very important idea to me. Far too many guys don't take care of their simple grooming. We're talking unibrows, nose hairs, long, jagged and dirty nails, unshowered.. REALLY simple things to take care of... So I figure that should be a great starting place for any aspiring PUA.

I cannot stress this enough: Girls notice these small, yet very important concepts. So I've come up with a basic list of things to maintain on your body that will boost your style TONS.

• Shower. Simple but often overlooked. When you haven't showered in a few days you smell (just because you don't smell it doesn't mean girls won't), your hair is greasy, your skin is oily and it is just plain gross. Shower every day (or ATLEAST every other day)

• Brush your teeth. Again nothing complicated like theoretical physics here. One thing I've recently started doing that has really helped whiten my teeth (because face it going to the dentist to get your teeth whitened is expensive) is swish a little hydrogen peroxide around in your mouth and let it foam around on your teeth for a few minutes. After a few weeks you will really notice a difference.

• Shave/Wax your eyebrows. Seriously unibrows have never been in style. Even being a Cosmonaut won't help you with women if you've got a unibrow like this guy.

• Find a hairstyle that works for you. Look at some celebs, look online, look through magazines like GQ or Details... and then go to a stylist and emulate it. Money spent on a quality haircut is well spent. I heard a great piece of advice from someone on this... though I don't remember the source (if someone knows please email me at puafashion@gmail.com so I can give the proper credit for the idea) Drop the cash for a haircut from a professional stylist and have a friend take some pictures of the hair style so you can take it to your regular barber armed with the pictures of how it should look on your head because I mean let's face it, stylists keep up with the latest trends.. Sam, no matter how fantastic he is... probably doesn't. But having those pictures of you with the style how you want it will help him out greatly. But don't stop there, keep your neck and sideburns cleaned up as well, it'll help your style last longer and look much better.

• Keep your chest hair under control. I know Austin Powers is a ladies man to the max, but it probably won't work for you. I don't know some women may be into the whole chest hair coming out of the shirt thing, but most of the women I've talked to have said its a major turnoff. Keep the chest hair if ya like it, but keep it from looking like you've got a beaver in your shirt.

• Nose and Ear Hairs. Same with the chest hair guys, keep this stuff under control. I'm sure most of you wouldn't want a woman with hairs sticking out her nose and ears. Well it works both ways. Nose and ear hair trimmers are fairly cheap. Invest in one.

• Pubes. I'm not going into much detail here since there are plenty of resources out there on google for this but keep the woman's perspective in mind.

• Get a tan. I haven't met a guy yet who didn't look better with a little color to his skin. If it's too cold to get a natural tan join a tanning salon like Image Sun Salon. Just be careful about using their tanning oil at the salon.. they usually mark them up crazy amounts.
  

• Trim and clean your nails. Manicures and pedicures aren't just for women. Not only do they feel great but there are inherent benefits to it as well. Just skip the nail polish (Unless you are Mystery). Think about how much time and effort women spend on their nails.. This is something women are going to notice. Would you want something jagged and dirty inside you? Actually, don't answer that.

That about wraps up this post on grooming. I just want to reiterate that these are all things women look at when meeting you. It shows how well you take care of yourself which is super important. If you can't take care of yourself how can you take care of anyone else?
